We are currently recruiting for an experienced Programming & Presentation Scheduling Coordinator.

You'll be responsible for producing the programme and presentation schedules, working with compliance and the operations team as well as supervising the programming intern.


Role Involves:

  • Create monthly programme schedules from scratch. Input new programme deals and monthly schedules into the broadcasting system, producing all required listings documents. Creating scheduling strategies long and short term, including production of 6 and 12 month longterm plans based around key priorities, including creative, innovative stunt strategies, events and competitors programming launches (e.g. sporting, entertainment, film launches, anniversaries etc) to aid in scheduling decisions; maintain uptodate knowledge of competitor channel initiatives, key strengths and weaknesses.
  • Monitoring performance of the channel and the direct competitive set and initiating schedule adaptations where and if necessary
  • Assisting in the maintenance of competitive trackers to monitor forthcoming programming events and competitor activity in order to aid schedule decisionmaking. Have quarterly meetings with the director of European programming to share and align direction with other markets. Knowledge of key software such as TechEdge to inform key scheduling decisions, as well as interaction with Research & Insights team.

Requirements:

  • A passion for factual programming and content in general and an interest in new trends
  • Strong editorial judgement in relation to programming
  • Highly organised, with an attention to detail
  • Numerate able to spot trends, interpret data and make recommendations based on these
  • Good communicator, ability to interact with numerous departments
  • Works well under pressure and can multitask.
  • Knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint and has an appreciation of visual flair.
  • Computer literate and experience with Broadcast systems, ideally BSS and TechEdge
  • Proactive, with the ability to use your initiative
  • Positive cando attitude, with a willingness and interest to learn
  • A passion for factual programming and content in general and an interest in new trends
  • Strong editorial judgement in relation to programming
This is a 3 month contract role with a potential to be extended dependant on budgets.
