Volunteering is a fantastic way to enhance your CV, meet new people, and learn lifesaving skills.

As the Local Ambulance Lead, you will be a visible people leader for a team of ambulance crew within a district or area. You will be supported by the District Ambulance Lead and become a specialist expert whilst working alongside other functional specialists to plan and deliver the ambulance aspects of St John's operational output. Above all, you'll be accountable for the leadership and development of all our volunteer ambulance crews.

The successful applicant will be passionate about quality patient care being at the heart of all they do. You will lead a team of mentors, established, newly qualified and trainee crew and will take lead in offering mentorship to guide them to provide exceptional care.

To do this role well, as well as bringing a strong and credible ambulance background (SJA EAC, EMT/AAP, or an appropriate healthcare professional), you'll be a good people and visible leader, used to managing teams and dealing with a range of issues simultaneously.

As a compassionate leader, you will need to embrace, influence and champion your team to support and excel our future growth and development and embrace quality improvement. You will set a positive example by exhibiting a strong work ethic to motivate your team and support their professional development

This is a challenging and rewarding role. You will be key to our leadership teams, supporting all our people in their welfare and everyday activity. You'll be a key person in delivering the best experience to our ambulance volunteers, empowering them to achieve their potential and serve their communities, as well as a key voice in planning and delivering our regulated activity.

The interview will be split into two sections:
- a clinical presentation and competency-based questions
