To support our rapid growth, we're seeking a dynamic Director of Software to lead our software development organisation.

As the Director of Software, you will be a key member of our leadership team, responsible for shaping our software offerings, driving AI innovation, and ensuring seamless integration with our sensor technologies.

You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, ML research and product management, to deliver robust and scalable cloud based software solutions.


Software Development:

  • Lead our architects, software developers, quality engineers, devops engineers, data scientists and project/program managers to create high performance, scalable, and reliable software solutions.
  • Oversee the end-to-end software development lifecycle, from concept to deployment.
  • Supervise quality control process, assure delivery of customer requirements, and manage various project planning and execution activities.

Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product management to position our software offerings effectively.

  • Identify emerging trends in software technology, evaluate their impact on our industry, and adapt our software roadmap accordingly.
  • Build a metrics driven continuous improvement culture to create a high-performing software organisation.
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and career development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with sensor software and hardware teams to enable secure and seamless collection of operational data from renewable energy fleet.
  • Collaborate with ML research team to create innovative AI/ML models in our software products. Leverage data science for monitoring automation, condition-based risk assessment, failure prediction, maintenance optimization, operational reliability, and throughput maximization.
  • Engage with external stakeholders, including clients, industry partners, and regulatory bodies.
A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (an advanced degree is preferred).

  • Proven track record of leading software development teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven track record of building scalable industrial grade B2B software, AI and IoT solutions with the focus on advanced analytics. Experience in the renewable energy industry and condition monitoring system is a plus.
  • Proficiency in using cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Understanding of best practices in CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated deployment and orchestration tools.
  • Experience in implementing fault tolerant queuing and event driven solutions for real time and batch data collection from sensors, CMS and SCADA systems and other operational data sources.
  • Proficiency in using a combination of controls, tools, policies, procedures and secure coding practices to create a defense in depth security solution that protects our network, infrastructure, data, and applications.
  • Ability to translate business strategy into actionable technology execution plans.
