Engineering Manager - Risk Engineering Team
As an Engineering Manager within the Risk Engineering team, you will collaborate closely with Investment Risk Managers and other Engineers to develop innovative solutions for the investment teams and executives at Man Group. Additionally, you will work with other risk engineering teams to provide risk data, analytics, and visualization.
- This role emphasizes a high level of collaboration, requiring you to integrate data and analytics from various sources into a coherent, actionable risk-focused view.
- We seek a hands-on technology manager with strong product management skills and a solid understanding of financial markets.
- Your duties will involve overseeing the implementation of new risk models, optimizing and maintaining data analysis and reporting from large datasets, as well as architecting and deploying new data solutions.
- You have the unique opportunity to contribute significantly to the development of a cutting-edge investment risk platform at Man Group, aligning with complex trading needs and long-term business objectives.
The Team
The Risk Engineering team is part of the broader Man Group Enterprise Engineering team, comprising a diverse group of over 100 individuals with backgrounds ranging from Classics to Advanced Computer Science. Together, we aim to find elegant solutions to challenging problems, working closely with the quantitative side of the business.
Our Technology
Within Risk Engineering, our tech stack includes Linux and Windows, primary languages such as Python and C#, and tools like Airflow, Kafka, Bitbucket, Jenkins, ELK, Grafana, Prometheus, InfluxDb, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenStack, Ansible, Terraform, and Slack. We heavily utilize ArcticDB alongside additional database technologies.
