Join Our Team as a Procurement Manager at a Leading Mechanical Engineering Company in Southampton
This company is offering a fantastic permanent opportunity for someone with experience in procurement or buying. You'll be working Monday to Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and on Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The salary for this role is negotiable based on your experience, up to around GBP40,000, plus additional benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Obtain quotes from preferred suppliers, evaluate costs, and manage approved vendors
- Procure materials and sub-contract services to meet project requirements
- Collaborate with internal teams on client tenders
- Ensure timely procurement and delivery of contract services
- Work closely with the quality department to uphold procurement standards
Skills and Experience Required:
- Excellent communication and numeracy skills
- Strong organizational and administrative abilities
- Previous experience in procurement or buying, ideally in petrochemical, pipe work, or pressure vessels
