We are looking for a new Learning Mentor to join #teamcarrmill.This post is integral to the ethos and provision offered by our school and will be a key element of our large and successful Pastoral Team.
Our new Learning Mentor will work alongside teachers and other key staff to identify the needs of learners who require additional support.
They will work directly with children on a daily basis in small groups and on an individual level across the full primary age range.
This may be within the classroom or during intervention sessions.The children that our new Learning Mentor will support may display social, emotional and behavioural problems that affect their ability to learn.
They may also have specific diagnosis and the support of external services.Our new Learning Mentor will develop individualised plans, resources, and strategies working in conjunction with all stakeholders to enable these to succeed and for the children to achieve their full potential.
Our new Learning Mentor will- Be an excellent communicator and work well in teams.
- Be passionate about making a difference to the lives of children at our school.
- Be a reflective practitioner who is determined to find the right solution for the individual child.
- Be adaptive and able to support children in the moment when needed.
- Be positive, enthusiastic and understanding.
- Have high expectations of themselves and our pupils.
- A positive working environment in a school committed to the wellbeing of all staff.
- Well behaved children who are eager to learn.
- A dedicated and caring staff team.
- A wellresourced learning and teaching environment.
- Opportunities to develop as a professional through bespoke and tailored training.
The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
