Claims Delegated Authority Manager

We are looking to employ a Claims Delegated Authority Manager to be based in London and to work with us on a full-time basis.

What we are looking for

You to take a proactive approach to the management of claims and look to provide a quality claims service, which pays valid claims promptly and sets reserves at expected ultimate cost, effectively, efficiently, consistently, accurately and in a timely manner. To take account of applicable regulatory requirements

The Role

  • Manage the Claims Delegated Authority (DA) Team
  • Attendance at the Product Oversight Group
  • Attendance at the Delegated Underwriting Group
  • Point of contact for liaison with Delegated Underwriting team
  • Oversight of/and onboarding of new and existing claims DA
  • Oversight of/and creation of claims DA agreements
  • Sign off on claims DA agreements
  • Responsible for continuous claims DA oversight/monitoring/reporting
  • Oversight/responsibility and point of contact for claims DA audits
  • Oversight of claims DA loss fund management
  • Oversight/responsibility of claims DA bordereau loading
  • Responsibility for maintenance and upkeep of claims DA handling guidelines and procedures
  • You are required to comply with the PRA and FCA conduct rules.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Good knowledge and understanding of:
  • Underlying Principles of Insurance;
  • Legal Principles;
  • FSA and rules and regulations;
  • Lloyds regulations;
  • Good knowledge of claims delegated authorities
  • Good knowledge of Lloyd's Standard Claims Reporting template (version 5.2)
  • Good knowledge of market strategies and assisting in the setting of the syndicate strategy
  • Good level of understanding of Conduct Risk and Solvency II
