The post holder will carry out duties involving direct patient care as delegated by the registered nurse and will regularly work without supervision after appropriate training/induction to provide care and support to patients/relatives/carers.

The post holder will ensure a person-centred approach to care delivery which is safe and effective to ensure and maintain quality strategy.

SVQ III in healthcare, or working towards, or equivalent experience working within a caring environment/role.

Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary/agency team.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to carry out assigned patient care tasks effectively within a busy environment.

Ability to work unsupervised.

Active participation in the Personal Development Plan process to fulfil the requirements of continuing professional development.

Working knowledge of basic information technology

A valid UK driver's license and access to a car.
