- Home ) Position An opportunity has arisen for a permanent Information Governance Assurance Officer based at University Hospital Crosshouse.

What you will do: You will have excellent organisational skills and be an effective communicator adept at influencing change. You will have experience of interpreting and applying information governance legislation, who can demonstrate critical analysis skills, sound judgement and excellent communication skills. You will need to be able to present and explain complicated information in an accessible way. A flexible approach to work, the ability to effectively manage a workload with competing demands, and experience of team working. Reporting to the Head of Information Governance & Data Protection Officer you will assist the Freedom of Information Officer and Information Governance Manager (Corporate Records) support the day to day operational activities associated with IG functions with particular emphasis on FOI and CRM activities.

As part of the Information Governance Team, you will be able to develop your skills in all areas of information governance, delivering training, and helping to develop processes and documentation to support organisational wide information governance maturity
For further information on the role please click the link below to view the job description Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job: You will be educated to Degree level or with equivalent relevant experience with advanced knowledge in the use of the Microsoft office suite, advanced computer skills and proficiency in the use of electronic information systems. You will have significant experience within a public health role which includes experience of developing and implementing projects or programmes across the spectrum of prevention.

You will be required to work flexibly between home and the office and the frequency for attending the office may vary depending on the exigencies of the service. Full-time hours will reduce from 37.5 to 37 hours (pro rata for part-time staff) without loss of earnings. NHS Ayrshire and Arran will implement this change but it may not be possible to fully transition from 1 April and there may therefore be some areas of the organisation where implementation may take longer. If the department is currently unable to safely accommodate the reduced hours from 1st April, you may be required to work 37.5 hours per week (pro rata for part-time staff) until the department can meet the requirements without impacting patient safety - you will, of course, be remunerated accordingly. NHS Ayrshire and Arran is committed to full implementation of the 37 hour working week across all areas as soon as it is safe to do so.
