Purpose

  • Treat the service users with, Respect
  • Protect the service users Privacy and Dignity at all times
  • Promote Independence of service users
  • Provide a personal service to residents and visitors
  • Provide assistance to the homes directors

Principle Responsibilities

  • Ensure all communal areas are kept tidy and well presented (first task in a morning)
  • Play Alexa with age appropriate music
  • Answer the telephone, take accurate messages and relay to the appropriate person (record company, name etc)
  • To ensure that relatives are assisted with making arrangements with visiting their relatives during the pandemic (and following)
  • Provide refreshments to visitors (when possible)
  • Support residents to their rooms to receive visitors
  • Support relatives to complete the appropriate testing and to register
*Update residents birthday list, order flowers and write card

  • Complete hairdressing list and support residents to the salon
  • Liaise with maintenance and housekeeping with deliveries such as pad, cleaning products
  • Maintain the waiting list and liaise with prospective residents (offer walk rounds when able)
  • Top up water in vases
  • Take post to residents/manager and team leaders
  • Deliver papers to the residents
  • Make refreshments for the residents in between drinks times
  • Set up new staff files
  • Replenish activity list and remove the old
  • Post out brochures
  • Take post for posting as required
  • PLEASE NOTE: Infection Prevention and Control is integral to this post.
The post holder should at all times demonstrate effective infection prevention and control and hygiene practice".

Salary:
£10.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
