Job Description

Join our Payment Operations Team as Payment Operations Analyst in Newcastle/Remote to make a real impact every day.   • Preparation of payments to customers across the UK & EU.
  • Preparation of bespoke payments to customers including bespoke reporting.
  • Payment data input and integrity checking.
  • Payment allocation across billing platforms.
  • Bureau reconciliations.
  • Bank reconciliations for client funds.
  • Preparation of client liability reconciliations.
  • Transaction Monitoring, analysing variances and trends.
  • Assist in operational processes and projects.
  • Ensure changes to process or client requirements are applied correctly.
  • Respond to queries from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support and monitor various payment exception processes.
  • Take on other tasks as required in support of process objectives.

  • Understanding of Balance Sheets and Reconciliation
  • Intermediate Level Skills In Microsoft Excel: Demonstrated ability in using advanced formulas, such as VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, and IF statements. Experience in creating and managing pivot tables for data analysis.
  • Working knowledge of payment processing terminology and process flows; experience with BACS and Payment Compliance requirements would be ideal.
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles with preference for experience working with NetSuite.
  • Knowledge of the Legend system would be advantagous
  • Self-starter with the ability to work well in a team and to coordinate and communicate with other departments.
  • Successful application of analytical skills including the ability to analyse issues, form recommendations, and apply solutions while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to thrive in a structured process while able to adapt to changes in process and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to cross-train across multiple tasks and platforms and capable of shifting focus as needed, escalating concerns, and working across teams to ensure deadlines are achieved.
