Job Description:
The Opportunity:
McDonald's is looking for a proactive and organized lawyer to join their Legal team focusing on Commercial, Corporate Governance, and Franchising practices in the UK & Ireland.
Handling a wide spectrum of governance, company, and commercial affairs, this role involves corporate governance, commercial contracts, digital projects, data protection, marketing approvals, franchising, joint ventures, and matters pertaining to employment, supply chain, public health, and competition.
Responsibilities:
Franchising:
- Manage franchise transactions
- Oversee corporate asset sale deals involving franchisees
- Provide guidance on franchise recruitment and applicant issues
- Support franchisees and joint venture partners with governance requirements
Corporate/Compliance:
- Handle company secretarial tasks
- Manage board meetings and directors' duties
- Lead corporate governance reporting and compliance initiatives
- Address employee conflicts of interests and oversee corporate transactions
Commercial:
- Negotiate and draft commercial agreements
- Offer legal advice on various commercial matters
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on strategic initiatives
This role involves close collaboration with departments including Franchising, Marketing, IT/Digital, Customer Services, Finance, and Supply Chain.
Qualifications:
