Youth Support Worker - SEN School


Do you have a passion for mentoring children? Are you keen to make a positive impact in a school environment? If so then we have the role for you We have a fantastic opportunity for you to join a wonderful SEN school in Twickenham and thrive as a Youth Support Worker to children with SEN.

You must have previous expereince working with children and be available an immediate start.

As this is role requires you to support a child was challenging behaviour you need to have strong behaviour management skills and be open to doing personal care.


The School:

  • Supports primary and secondary pupils with complex behaviour needs, Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues (SEMH) and medical issues.
  • Aims to transform the lives of young people by providing bespoke and specialist education of the highest standard
  • Pupils are supported, challenged, stretched and inspired in a wide range of learning opportunities through our broad, balanced and engaging curriculum
  • Classes are often between 810 children
  • OFSTED 'Good' rated school

The role:

  • Youth Support Worker to support a child with personal care
  • To manage a child with challening behaviour
  • To contribute in their personal and academic development
  • To encourage positive behaviour and nurture students into becoming successful members of the wider community
  • Maintain a positive and supportive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Recent experience working with children
  • Maintain excellent and open communication systems with colleagues and family members
  • Available to work 08:30 to 16:00, Monday to Friday
  • Either live in Richmond or within a commutable distance
