POSITION –PREMISES ASSISTANT (ENHANCED DBS REQUIRED)

SHIFT– TO BE DISCUSSED WITH CLIENT (7.5 Hrs PER DAY)

PAY - £12.18 PER HOUR

LOCATION –GAINSBOROUGH ROAD, CORBY

Quest Employment arelooking for a reliable and trustworthy candidate to join one ourclients as a Premises Assistant for an ongoing (possible temporary)appointment.

This position is based within alocal school and therefore you MUST have an in-date Enhanced DBScertificate if you wish to apply for this post.

This position requires an attentive individual who takespride in their work and conduct and who ideally has experiencewithin a similar previous role. The position will include, but isnot limited to, the following tasks:

  • Maintain the security of the premises and its contents(key holder responsibilities)
  • Operate andregularly check systems such as heating, cooling, lighting, andsecurity (including CCTV and alarms)
  • Undertake minor repairs and maintenance of the buildingsand site to include; routine development and maintenance,porterage, minor redecoration, repairs, and other tasks.
  • Ensure that buildings and site are secure, undertakingdaily security checks including locking and unlocking of buildingsat pre-determined times.
  • Keep records relatingto maintenance and security.
  • Report serioushazards to line manager immediately.
  • Collectand assemble waste for collection.
  • Periodiccleaning of designated areas of the school building andgrounds.
  • Function as a designated key holder,providing emergency access to the school site.
  • To be available to attend in cases of emergency outsidethe working week.
  • Function as school contactin relation to premises related contractors.
  • To monitor the quality of cleaning of the site
  • Assist in dealing with matters concerning buildingmaintenance.
  • To clean designated areas in theestablishment and maintain high standards across theschool.
  • To ensure that all exterior areas aremaintained, and repairs arranged where necessary.

The working hours will be discussed with ourclient at interview and will be tailored to suit both the needs ofthe business and the successful applicant.
