Our Modern SlaveryResponse Team works with potential survivors of Modern Slaveryidentified via the National Referral Mechanism. We supportthousands of survivors to access services to support their recoveryand reintegration. This includes high quality emotional andpractical support within a tiered support structure,within which the outreach teams work. We work in closepartnership with key stakeholders and local partners tooptimise outcomes for our service users. The Team Managerwill be responsible for managing and coaching a high performingteam to ensure the delivery of an excellent support service tosurvivors. They will also support with other management functionsas required within the framework of the Modern Slavery VictimCare Contract and Hestia's internal processes.

A day in this role lookslike….

As a Team Manager atHestia, you will play a crucial role in our Modern SlaveryService.Your contributions will directly influence the livesof our service users, guiding them towards a path of empowermentand independence.

A day will never look the sameand some of the things you can expect to do/be responsible forare:

  • Lead, develop and support ateam of advocates to ensure high quality service delivery thatachieves agreed standards of care and support, in compliance withthe Modern Slavery Victim Care Contract requirements, and Hestiapolicies and procedures.
  • Monitor the team'sperformance against contractual requirements and internalexpectations.
  • Motivate and support the team todeliver Hestia's vision and represent Hestia's values.
  • Participate in recruitment; oversee induction; superviseand appraise staff; identify training needs; manage disciplinaryand grievance procedures; and ensure that all tasks are carried outwithin Hestia's policies, procedures, and good practiceguides.
  • Deliver training, including inductingnew starters and training existing staff on new systems andprocesses as required.
  • Promote the aims andobjectives of the organisation externally as required and representthe organisation by building effective relationships withpurchasers, funders and external agencies.
  • Support senior management with reporting both internallyand externally to ensure the service is performing and ensuringbest outcomes for service users. • Work with the senior managementteam to enable the organisation to develop its aims and objectivesby participating in meetings and processes to furtherorganisational policy and practice development.
  • Attend appropriate training, including specialisttraining courses to develop personal skills and knowledge relevantto the post.
  • Empower service users and ensurea person-centred approach to the support provided.
  • Deal with routine requests from colleagues (HR, finance,senior management, etc.).
  • Keep effectiverecords of support provided on our case managementsystem.
