About the role:

Join our team as an Event Planner with the Catering Planning team at the SEC and play a pivotal role in creating extraordinary events From grand conferences to intimate dinners and bustling exhibitions, you'll be at the heart of planning and delivering seamless, unforgettable experiences. This is more than just a planning role-you'll work closely with SEC staff and our dynamic Levy team to make each event a remarkable success, ensuring clients feel supported and delighted from initial planning through to event execution.
As one of the world's most prestigious venues for conferences and events, the SEC is renowned for its innovation, style, and top-tier service. As a Senior Event Planner, you'll uphold and elevate this reputation, showcasing the best of Levy and SEC through exceptional customer service and unwavering quality standards.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to understand, propose, and confirm all event catering requirements, ensuring a tailored and exceptional experience.
  • Coordinate with Levy Operations and the broader SEC team to plan the seamless delivery of catering services, including logistics for location, timing, and guest numbers.
  • Adhere to Levy pricing policies to optimize catering revenue and identify upselling opportunities that enhance client satisfaction.
  • Manage all event-related documentation and correspondence, ensuring that contracts, deposits, and final invoices are issued and processed in line with company standards.
  • Gain an in-depth understanding of each event's details, including sales handover specifics and the SEC contract, to ensure smooth and accurate service delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication, fostering trust and a thorough understanding of each client's unique needs.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive Event Catering Proposals that are seasonally relevant and align with guest and delegate demographics for a curated culinary experience

  • Experience in event planning, particularly in hospitality, with a proven record.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, fostering positive relationships with clients, vendors, & teams.
  • Efficient project manager, skilled in task prioritisation and relevant Microsoft suites.
  • Quick thinker with strong problem-solving skills for handling unexpected changes creatively.
  • Client-focused, anticipates needs, and manages feedback and complaints professionally.
  • Familiar with event tech tools and stays updated on industry trends and best practices.
