Mobile Specialist Cleaner in Neath Port Talbot

Main purpose of the post
To clean designated areas in Primary Schools to specification.
To support the cleaning Co-Ordinators in the day to day running of the cleaning service.
To attend emergency callouts when required.
Please note this is a mobile role, so a full UK driving licence is required for this post, and it has flexible hours between 6.00am and 8.00pm.
Main duties and responsibilities
To undertake as an individual or a member of a team, the cleaning of designated areas and premises, which will from time to time be varied at the discretion of the head of establishment or such other persons as the Authority may designate.
To ensure that the designated areas are kept in a clean and hygienic condition in accordance with agreed schedules and quality standards.
Specific duties shall include cleaning, washing, sweeping, vacuum cleaning, emptying of litterbins, polishing and dusting of the designated areas (which may include toilets and shower areas) and fixtures and fittings, driving, furniture removals, portering duties. Opening and locking buildings.
To use where appropriate, powered equipment.
To carry out delivery’s throughout the county borough when required.
To carry out inductions with new staff members in accordance with Health and Safety requirements using the staff induction handbook.
To carry out specialist cleans when required following an infectious disease outbreak.
To carry out deep cleans following building works and ensuring a safe environment for the return of pupils.
To attend following a flood and take appropriate action and provide the correct machinery and support to rectify the situation and resume normal operation on the education site.
Duties and hours will vary between 6.00am and 8.00pm and shall be undertaken at the discretion of the Authority commensurate with the grade.
To ensure that Health and Safety Regulation are complied with at all times.
