The Burford Recruitment Company are delighted to be working with a dynamic and innovative Marketing and PR agency, specialising in tourism and travel, located near Banbury, who is seeking a talented and experienced PR & Marketing Account Manager to join their vibrant team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public relations and marketing, with the ability to create compelling campaigns that resonate with high-level officials and diverse audiences. As the PR & Marketing Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing client accounts, writing and distributing press releases, creating content, activating projects and events, communicating with clients and media contacts, and maintaining relationships with key clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive PR and marketing strategies to promote travel
  • Manage media relations, including drafting press releases, securing media coverage, and building strong relationships with journalists
  • Create engaging content for various platforms, including social media, blogs, newsletters, and websites
  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns, including digital advertising, email marketing, and events
  • Monitor and analyse campaign performance, providing regular reports and insights to optimise future strategies
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve marketing initiatives

Skills and attributes required:

  • Proven experience in PR and marketing, with a portfolio to present at interview
  • Experience within the travel and tourism industry is preferred but not essential
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong project management and organisational skills
  • Creative thinker and storyteller who is able to create and distribute press releases
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Hold a valid passport and be willing to travel to the USA and other countries as required
