Your new school
Gretton School is an independent specialist school for children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Conditions, specifically high functioning autism. We welcome students from 5—19 years old, as weekly boarders or as day students. Based just outside Cambridge, we work with 12 counties to provide a broad and individualised education for these unique and wonderful students. Your new role
We are looking for exceptional people to work with our exceptional students. We are recruiting a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to start as soon as possible. The successful candidate will have the ability to support teaching across the secondary age range and to work with the class teacher to complete annual review paperwork and reports.
What you'll need to succeed
HLTA Qualification (or willingness to complete)GCSE grade C (or equivalent) in both Maths and EnglishKnowledge, understanding and experience of Autism as well as a broad knowledge of strategies used for teaching students with ASCAbility to remain calm under pressure and be able to adapt to change quicklyWe are seeking people who thrive on working in a challenging but immensely rewarding environment, who are passionate about supporting the development of social, life and independence skills and who truly want to make a difference in the lives of young people.
