Job Description

To lead, drive and manage the successful delivery of the operational credit and fraud plan, maximising performance of the department in minimising financial loss and providing credit decisions that maximise profit and minimise risk, ensuring that regulatory, TCF and FGFS's quality and compliance standards and expectations are met.

Leading, managing and monitoring the credit and fraud operational plan, ensuring the effective delivery of department targets and objectivesContributing to and supporting the development and delivery of the FGFS credit, application fraud and account level fraud strategies to optimise loss prevention and minimising risk, ensuring that the right customer outcomes are achievedLeading, managing and developing the performance and potential of the credit and fraud team. Leading and driving adherence to all governance, risk and compliance standards across credit and fraud teams, delivering a consistent and quality service

Providing continuous improvement support, ensuring that associated change projects are landed successfully in the team/department
Qualifications

Experience of working within the  financial services sector with particular experience in credit underwriting, application fraud  and / or account level fraud  Extensive experience of working and delivering in a regulated environmentExcellent working knowledge of financial standards and guidelines - e.g. FCA, TCF, Data ProtectionIs delivery and customer focussedExperience of leading, managing and maximising the performance of othersAbility to plan and prioritise effectively to meet changing priorities and demandsAbility to interpret data and information to highlight opportunities and minimise riskExperience of risk management and controlsExcellent communication and engagement skillsProven track record in effective facilitation and communication at multiple levelsIs commercially astuteAbility to engage and influence stakeholders at an appropriate levelIs analytical, pragmatic and systematic in approach to problem solving

Ability to manage conflict and knows when to escalate
