An opportunity has arisen for an experienced, Vice President, Broker Support Lead / Account Manager for the UK & European Property team as part of GC Facultative. The role will report into the Operations Director and involve regular travel to our London office.

What can you expect?

  • Work closely with our UK Property & European brokers to deliver a first class service.

  • Deliver the business in partnership with Head of UK Property and the Head of European property, managing the operational metrics and financial pipeline.

  • Support the Brokers by coordinating placement activities across a team of Account Handlers, delivering proactive, valued support as required.

  • Manage client requests for information (reinsurer, financial reports, industry issues, etc.)

  • Liaise with reinsurers in response to queries or requests, in conjunction with Brokers.

We will rely on you to:

  • Manage the contract drafting process, updates, and production of final contract documentation.

  • Manage and co-ordinate with the end-to-end service teams (including invoicing, claims and credit control) within Guy Carpenter UK and globally to ensure the client receives a best-in-class service.

  • Participate in team, client, and reinsurer meetings.

  • Lead the operational management of the UK & European property team to ensure quality and efficiency goals are met.

  • Manage and deliver the operational training for the UK & European property team team.

  • Line manage a team of account handlers to support the Broking team.

  • Manage and maintain the financial pipeline and operational data for your team to enable management reporting.

What you need to have:

  • Proven experience in a Senior Account Handler/ Account Executive and or Broker Support role.

  • Excellent technical experience and contract drafting capabilities.

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Computer literate with the ability to learn new applications quickly.

  • Solution finding and problem solving.

  • Natural ability to develop relationships clients.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Experience of managing, coaching and mentoring junior team members.
