Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide knowledge of the residential childcare sector to empower learners in their apprenticeship journey
  • Conduct thorough assessments of learners, tailoring support and guidance effectively
  • Guide learners in developing crucial skills, including Mathematics and English proficiency
  • Nurture and support a caseload of 40 learners, ensuring success at EPA
  • Strategically plan teaching and learning activities with a robust assessment process
  • Regularly review learner progress, adapting coaching strategies as needed
  • Offer valuable information, advice, and guidance to foster holistic development
  • Efficiently manage E-Portfolios for all learners
Experience and Qualifications:
  • Hold a teaching qualification such as PTLLS, AET, Cert Ed, or equivalent (desired)
  • Occupational competence working in a residential care home for children
  • Hold an assessor's qualification such as CAVA, TAQA, A1, or equivalent (desired)
  • Hold a qualification in Residential Childcare up to level 5
  • Willingness to undertake any relevant training or qualifications to stay at the forefront of the field
  • UK driver's license with access to own vehicle
