The Opportunity:
The Careers Service plays a vital role in enhancing students’ employability. In everything we do, we aim to open students’ eyes to the wealth of possibilities ahead of them.
We are looking for an Edinburgh Award Coordinator (Maternity Cover). This key role ensures that the Edinburgh Award is delivered successfully to over 1000 student participants a year, enhancing their professional development and contributing to their future success. The successful candidate will be a highly organised team player with excellent relationship management and communication skills to support current and new Edinburgh Award Leaders.
Working within our dynamic Internships and Work Experience team, the postholder will also play a role in supporting the broader work of the team and the Careers Service.
This post is part-time (21 hours per week); however, we are open to considering alternative part-time or flexible working patterns. As a student-facing team we work at least 60% of our time on campus.
Your skills and attributes for success:
- Ability to build relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve common goals.
- Experience of project coordination, including dealing with conflicting timescales and unforeseen problems.
- High level of attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
