What you'll bring to the team

The Role:

The Engineering Project and Planning Manager are responsible for the planning and delivery of Annual Maintenance of all rides across the Resort. You will create a holistic plan for the successful delivery of maintenance on all our rides, ensuring all pre-requisite tasks ahead of the maintenance period are completed within set deadlines and budgets to guarantee a successful open to the season.  You will then lead and matrix manage the project team to rectify any maintenance issues that occur once the season starts and prepare for the Annual Maintenance period ahead.

This role is key to providing the seamless and on time delivery of the Annual Maintenance of our rides, in addition to the continuous improvement of this process. It involves both planning and delivery of annual maintenance. The creation of meticulous, to budget, and timely project plans is essential, as it the delegation, labour allocation and communication of these plans to the relevant stakeholders.

Create and sustain an effective communication structure during the delivery phase of the project to ensure regular updates are received from the Area Managers on their progress, execution of the plan and any risks and issues are identified to be addressed. Ensue there is a structure to communicate the above to Senior Stakeholders on a regular basis. Provide guidance and support to ensure that maintenance activities are carried out efficiently and in accordance with safety standards. Understand and mitigate against risk, delay, and cost. Coordinate with third-party vendors and contractors to ensure timely arrival and completion of contracted work in accordance with SLA and agreed budgets. Understanding scope or work and expectations for all parts and equipment that needs to leave site for re-work or repairs. Lead spare parts requirements, ensuring all parts are accounted for when planning and orders are raised (understanding lead times and cost/budget). Working with spares team to understand current stock vs maintenance needs. Manage labour and resource allocation effectively, adjusting schedules and priorities as needed to meet project objectives. Manage maintenance activities during the year to ensure continuous operation uptime. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work quality, address any emerging issues, and ensure compliance with established standards. Own and manage NOC process on behalf of the annual maintenance programme. Effective risk management should be undertaken regularly to ensure all tasks are co-ordinated and resources allocated accordingly, putting in place contingency plans where necessary during the delivery of the project. Be the main POC for all annual maintenance escalation and planning questions/direction. Work in alignment and cohesion with the Head of Engineering, ensuring resources, equipment, tooling, parts, and facilities are identified and sourced and operated proactively (reducing delay and cost) Be able to monitor, trend and report on success of programme, identifying retrospective improvements such as reducing waste, improving time and ways of working from the programme.

Qualifications & Experience
