WHAT TO EXPECT

 

The primary responsibility for this role is to assist the Agile squads in releasing the parts so they can be ordered in time for production builds.
As part of the Engineering Delivery Team you will be expected to challenge any late delivery of parts and work with the squads and suppliers to identify any improvements that can be made to delivery times. You will need to be confident in challenging plans with respect, so calm yet direct leadership style will be required. 

 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

 

  • Using data analytics, understand the latest status of the production release (P-Release) and pinpoint areas of concern for further investigation
  • Coordinate daily reviews with members of the programme and units to establish improvement activity to reduce lead times
  • Work with Procurement teams and Engineers to get improved delivery plans from suppliers 
  • Identify alternative procurement routes / part pedigree where necessary
  • Managing communications with stakeholders via the daily report out 

 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

 

  • A positive attitude to teamwork and delivering of tasks - Be prepared to come into the team and work hard for the required outcome
  • Good communication skills so be able to articulate the current position with the programme and signpost next steps
  • Confident with dealing with complex data sets
  • Basic understanding of bill of materials, ideally within the automotive industry
