My Construction Management client is recruiting for a Senior Planner/ Lead Planner for one of their high profile projects in the North East, who can add value to the project and team. They are after someone who create and develop schedules for this construction project but also work with the other teams to provide insights on how to optimise project timelines and resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Manage Schedules: Create detailed project schedules and programmes using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar software, based on design inputs and project requirements.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with design, engineering, and construction teams to develop schedules that ensure smooth project delivery and alignment with project goals.
- Analyse and Optimise: Input project data into scheduling software, analyse critical paths, and provide insights to optimise timelines and resources.
- Monitor Progress: Regularly track and report on project progress, ensuring adherence to schedules and making adjustments as needed.
- Support Decision-Making: Provide critical scheduling and planning insights to support informed decision-making across the project team.
Requirements:
- Extensive Experience: Project management and planning within the construction industry, ideally on large-scale projects such as industrial, pharmaceutical or data centres (£100M+).
- Software Proficiency: Strong skills in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar planning and scheduling tools.
- Understanding of Construction: Deep knowledge of building construction processes and principles. If you are from a project/site management background, I would be keen to speak with you
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Location: Must be based in North East England. With a strong pipeline of work, your work will be centred in this area.
