About The Role

This is a Fixed Term position for 18 months working full-time.

Swansea University currently offers 8 full-time degree programmes in Healthcare Science, with 3 new part-time programmes being added for 2024. Healthcare Science sits within the School of Health and Social Care. Nearly all of the commissioned programmes from Welsh Government sit within this School. Healthcare Science is joined by Nursing, Midwifery and Paramedic Science in the School. This creates a culture of professional training and interdisciplinary education. The successful candidate will join the Healthcare Science academic unit. The Clinical Learning Facilitator in Cardiac Physiology will be responsible for supporting Cardiac Physiology students whilst they spend time on placement. The post holder will be based in Healthboards in Wales to ensure suitable training opportunities exist for students. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring placement provision is in place, providing clinical service delivery at the same time as mentoring students. Welsh Language Skills

The Welsh language level required for this role is Level 1 - A little. The role holder will be able to pronounce Welsh words, answer the phone in Welsh (good morning/afternoon) and use very basic everyday words and phrases (thank you, please etc.). Level 1 can be reached by completing a 1 hour course.
