We are currently seeking a Customer Contact Advisor to join The Bedford College Group at our Kettering Campus.

As a Customer Contact Advisor you play an important role in the success of our students through:

  • Providing a professional, high quality front of house and information.
  • Providing advice and guidance service to customers in line with the Group’s customer service charter, set service standards, recruitment and conversion targets.
  • Developing your skills and knowledge ensuring you are knowledgeable on the range of courses we offer and are trained to an excellent standard on our processes and procedures.
  • Playing key role in participating in recruitment events, application open days and interviews to improve student conversion retention rates.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Experience of working in a fast-paced customer service environment and exceeding customer expectations
  • Experience of working on a customer facing environment.
  • General administrative skills and the ability to pick up new processes and systems quickly and effectively establish credibility at all levels.
  • Good organisational skills, with the ability to work under pressure and prioritise.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and confidently face to face, on the telephone and in writing
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including students, college staff and the general public

Qualifications:

  • A good standard of education, including English and mathematics at GCSE grade A-C or equivalent
  • A professional information, advice and guidance (IAG) qualification at Level 4, or the willingness to undertake this
  • Evidence of continued professional development
  • Customer service training

About The Bedford College Group
The Bedford College Group was formed in 2017 following the merger of Bedford College and Tresham College and is now the largest provider of education in the South East Midlands, with over 15,000 students passing through our doors each year.

Today, the Group is made up of a family of colleges across Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire: Bedford College, Central Bedfordshire College and Tresham College in the towns of Bedford, Dunstable, Leighton Buzzard, Corby, Kettering and Wellingborough; Shuttleworth College, a specialist land-based college; The Bedford Sixth Form, (the only dedicated sixth form in Bedford); The Corby Sixth Form, (opened in September 2023); and the National College for Motorsport alongside Silverstone race circuit. To widen accessibility to education and training, the Group also has community-based Learning Centres in Bedford, Corby and Kettering which offer IT training.
