Housing Options and Supply Support Officer

Location: Buckinghamshire, County Wide

The post holder will support the delivery of an efficient, high quality and customer-focused service for a diverse client group including vulnerable households. You will work proactively with the housing team to support a continuous improvement mindset and to deliver the best possible service to our customers.

About the role

Key Accountabilities

  • You will be supporting the Housing Options & Supply Team to provide services which are easily understood, fair, accessible, joined up and beneficial to our residents and partners. You will set resident's expectations early.
  • To support the provision of a housing options advice service to all those seeking accommodation. Giving relevant, appropriate and accurate housing advice on all housing options available or referring customers to dedicated officers across the housing service as required. This will include providing information relating to, rent deposit guarantee scheme, Benefits and PIP applications, affordability assessments
  • To support across the Temporary Accommodation, Private Rental functions and homelessness Advice team where necessary.
  • To be responsible for ensuring all calls, notes and documents are uploaded onto the relevant housing systems and submitted in a timely manner
  • To collaborate with Homelessness & Advice team to help create and deliver a single resident journey and support residents to maintain and sustain tenancies

Any-Desk:

As an ‘any-desk’ worker, you’ll need to be connected to our network to access digital folders and resources, but this can either be from home or an office location when required. You will be required to work from the office a couple of times a week, depending on your role and team requirements.

With a number of different tasks coming into the team on any given day, you’ll need to be able to:

  • prioritise work quickly and have excellent communication and written skills.
  • be an excellent problem solver and highly adaptable.
  • build relationships quickly and provide an empathetic and non-judgmental service to customers.

Prior knowledge of housing is desirable, however not essential as full training will be given.
