Do you want to help further development of the Danaher Business System culture within our Ilfracombe site? This is an opportunity for an experienced leader to work alongside the site Leadership Team, to develop process improvement strategies based on business needs. 

As the DBSL you will be responsible for leveraging the Danaher Business System tool to drive Quality, Delivery and Cost results. 

What you will do: 

  • You will be responsible for managing the Kaizen process including the organization, running and sustaining of Kaizen events and Kaizen funnel. 

  • Apply continuous improvement methods such as Lean, problem solving, SMED, etc.  

  • Lead transformational change and work on identifying greatest Lean opportunities across the plant. 

  • Teach and coach others in DBS tools, i.e. problem solving and standardized work, Identify and share best practices 

  • Develop and lead teams to embrace a practice that promote best practice sharing across the plant and within the corporation 

  • Develop and promote common DBS Language across by integrating continuous improvements utilized across Pall and Danaher 

  • Willingness to work on the shop floor and lead by example. 

  • Build productive relationships and influence others, both within the business and across organizations.  Ability to interact with all levels of the business  

  • Demonstrate exceptionally good listening skills, able to present complex or new ideas with clarity and simplicity. 

Who You Are: 

  • Degree in Engineering or Business preferred 

  • Experience in Analytical Problem Solving: Able to identify problems; apply structured and disciplined methodology to identify root cause using data.  

  • Experience in process improvements using lean manufacturing methodology/Lean manufacturing with a combination of project management and business process analysis. 

  • You will be required to undertake travel both in the UK and abroad
