IT Manager required for a leading client based in Birmingham. My client is currently seeking a IT Manager to come on board to oversee intricate negotiations on software licensing with external suppliers, enhance investment efficiency, and advise on new acquisitions. Your role involves overseeing supplier contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness and upholding quality standards through effective spending management and initiatives to boost performance. You will also spearhead tender processes, maintain relationships with external providers, and organize service evaluations with stakeholders to ensure contractual compliance and supplier accountability
Additionally, you will oversee the management of technology asset lifecycles, ensuring smooth transitions during onboarding and offboarding, and maintaining an up-to-date asset inventory. You will establish and monitor IT KPIs, collaborating with the IT leadership to address any areas needing improvement. As the leader of the IT Management team, you will champion ongoing enhancements in processes and performance, ensuring our IT operations consistently achieve outstanding outcomes
Key skills and responsibilities,
Previous IT Management experience
Previous supplies management
Manage relationships with third-party providers
Overseeing supplier contracts
Experienced operational IT demand manager, adept at efficiently coordinating IT function demands and collaborating with department heads to allocate resources effectively
Extensive background in successfully managing IT contracts and supplier relationships in similar roles
Demonstrated expertise in assembling tender requirements for projects exceeding £1 million
Proven ability to manage and report on performance through KPIs
Previous experience in IT portfolio management and demand management
