Overall purpose of role
The Technical Product Director is a pivotal role that drives the strategic direction, development, and management of technical products capabilities within the Digital Platform. This role is instrumental in ensuring that the products not only meet the current demands but also anticipate future trends and opportunities.
Stakeholder Management and Leadership
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure product success.
- Team Development: Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing product team capable of delivering exceptional results.
- Communication: Serve as the primary communicator for product strategy, updates, and results to stakeholders at all levels. Demonstrable experience operating with senior level stakeholders across technology and business disciplines
- Change Management: Lead change initiatives related to product development and adoption within the organisation.
Decision-making and Problem Solving
- Strategic Decisions: Make strategic product decisions based on data-driven insights, market trends, and stakeholder feedback.
- Problem Resolution: Identify and address complex technical and business challenges that impact product success.
- Prioritisation: Effectively prioritise product features and initiatives to maximize value and align with strategic goals.
- Risk Management: Anticipate and mitigate risks associated with product development and market changes.
Risk and Control Objective
Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards.What we’re looking for
