We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated self-starter for the position of Finance System Replacement 'FSR' Programme Analyst in the University's Research Office.

The University is embarking on an ambitious, large-scale initiative which will ultimately shape and enhance Finance's processes and tools of the future. The Financial Systems Replacement (FSR) project is the implementation of a new finance system which will make a lasting difference in the way in which the University processes it's financial transactions and will be critical to achieving improvements to our user experience and core processes.

The role is key to ensuring the preparedness of the data sitting within the current systems which will need to be addressed as part of the FSR programme and will support be part of a wider workstream of colleagues working to ensure that the new finance system meets the needs of our Research Office and community they represent.

The role holder will serve alongside members of the Research Office's Assurance, Risk, and Compliance team, Finance Division's Central and Research Accounting team as well as other stakeholders in the FSR project to ensure the Research Office is prepared to make the transition to our new financial system.

The successful candidate will assess the preparedness of data both on and off the systems addressing and remediating where necessary.

The role holder will work closely with the Finance Manager (Research) and Deputy Workstream Lead (Research) as well as other partners and stakeholders to support the transformation of manual processes and working practices as they relate to the reconciliation of closed grants or other agreed upon projects.

You must be well organised and able both to prioritise and work to deadlines. You must also be able to work well independently and in a team and have a positive, can-do approach. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills with an aptitude for developing positive working relationships.

In particular you should have considerable practical knowledge in using spreadsheets, graphs and flowcharts with strong organisation skills as well as the ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload with the expectation to ensuring that deliverables are based on best practice and conform to the goals and strategy of the Research Office and the wider community.
