About the Role:
Our client is looking for a skilled and reliable 13T Excavator Driver to join their team in Derby on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a 13-ton excavator to perform a variety of excavation tasks. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects with a competitive hourly rate of 24.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a 13-ton excavator efficiently and safely on construction sites.
- Perform excavation, trenching, and grading tasks according to project specifications.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections and routine maintenance on the excavator.
- Collaborate with other team members and contractors to ensure project goals are met.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and best practices on site.
- Assist with other tasks as required, including site preparation and material handling.
Requirements:
- Proven experience operating a 13-ton excavator with a strong track record of safe and efficient operation.
- Valid CPCS or NPORS certification for excavator operation.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and site layouts.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Full UK driving licence.
