Equal Opportunities

At Transport for Wales we value diversity. It makes us stronger, helps us understand our customers better, make better decisions and be more innovative.  Everyone’s different and has their own perspective so we’re building a diverse team that mirrors the communities we serve. We want to inspire a nation to change the way it travels, so that we all travel more sustainably and help to combat the climate emergency we’re all facing.

We’re an open and inclusive place to work, where everyone is welcome and our people are supported to reach their full potential. We want to create an environment where our people can grow and succeed. This is key to enabling us to deliver on the promises we’ve made to the people of Wales to build a sustainable transport network that meets their needs.

Manage the quality assurance of internal procedures and plans, by conducting risk analysis and reporting associated with the Asset Management Activities to provide TfW with an internal quality and risk protocol to ensure TfW's obligations to the Infrastructure Agreement (for the delivery of the Rail Infrastructure Management Services) are met.

Draft, modify and implement departmental governance framework processes (relevant to the Asset Management services delivery and performance, including Services contingency plans where applicable) by identifying internal needs and working with internal stakeholders to plan and deliver the required documentation to ensure the internal quality assurance is in place and effectively managed.

Who we’re looking for

Degree in law, finance business administration or other related fields or equivalent/relevant work experience Proven experience in an auditing and / or compliance role in rail or other A good understanding of managing safety critical infrastructure in an asset-rich, regulated Experience of the application of ‘risk-based methodologies’, or a similar programme, in an asset rich business environment to improve safety and efficiency.
