2020 Recruitment is working with one of our global manufacturing engineering clients who are looking to add a Maintenance Technician to their growing team based in Dunfermline.

This is a great opportunity for someone who can supervise and take on a senior leadership role.

As the Maintenance Technician you will be offered a permanent contract with a view to taking on more responsibility and a great opportunity to get involved at all stages.

The Role

The Maintenance Technician will play a key role in ensuring the plant is fully operational for manufacturing and be heavily involved in the installation and running of all machinery. For this position, it would ideally suit someone who can wire, drill, weld and grind to a small degree, however, the main aspects of the role is disassembly and replacement of parts.

Duties & Responsibilities

As the Maintenance Technician your duties and responsibilities will include the following:

  • Assisting with assembling automated machinery
  • Understanding how the machinery operates
  • Assisting the Engineers with the design and layout of the factory
  • Involved in all planned and reactive maintenance
  • Working with the business owner to ensure the machinery is working to its full potential
  • Leading improvement initiatives
  • Assisting with creating plans for future maintenance
  • Involved in fitting ductwork and compressors
  • Taking on a leadership role to ensure things progress in a timely manner

Requirements

To be considered for this position you must have the following skills and experience:

  • Ability to read machine assembly drawings and diagrams
  • Leading engineers and production staff through safe working practices and understanding of all equipment
  • Ensuring all health and safety practices are adhered to
  • Excellent organisation and people skills
  • Ability to prioritise and multi task
  • Be ambitious
  • Ability to work with others and be a team player
  • A good working can do attitude
  • Due to location a drivers licence and own transport is advised
