A reputable law firm is seeking an experienced Industrial Disease Solicitor to join their Blackburn office. This role offers a unique opportunity to handle a diverse and complex caseload, particularly focusing on military claims against the Ministry of Defence and industrial disease claims.

The successful candidate will take individual responsibility for managing a caseload of both pre-litigated and litigated military claims, as well as industrial disease claims.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage a complex and high-value caseload of military claims against the Ministry of Defence, including Noise Induced Hearing Loss and other short and long tail industrial disease claims. Handle all aspects of litigation, from initial client contact through to settlement or trial. Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies. Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, witness statements, and expert reports. Liaise with clients, counsel, experts, and other third parties to progress cases effectively. Attend court hearings, mediations, and other legal proceedings as required. Provide high-quality legal advice and representation to clients. Maintain accurate and detailed case records using the Proclaim case management system. Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the development and success of the department.

Requirements:

Approximately 4-5 years PQE in personal injury litigation, with a specific focus on military claims and industrial disease. Strong knowledge of military claims and industrial disease claims processes and legislation. Proficiency in using the Proclaim case management system is advantageous. Excellent litigation and advocacy skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to manage a high-volume caseload independently and effectively.
