A full time, permanent opportunity has arisen at our Barnsley site for an Asset Care Engineer to join the team. You will be a fully engaged team member, with flexibility to efficiently problem solve, report, maintain and improve a variety of manufacturing equipment across site.
The successful candidate will:
- Ensure that plant and equipment systems perform to manufacture product efficiently to high quality standards.
- To implement maintenance activities, ensuring that the manufacturing team achieve full compliance to the production plan, by minimising engineering downtime.
- To support the engineering and manufacturing functions ensuring maximum utilisation of engineering equipment in order to achieve KPIs and optimal line efficiency within the company safety, quality & environmental policies.
- Critical spare parts identification for assets across site.
- To support manufacturing team through the daily and Short Interval Control (SIC) meeting structure to achieve efficient and effective close out of tasks to improve line availability.
What we need from you:
- Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship, ONC/HNC or equivalent qualification in engineering for example – Level 3 Electrical/electronic engineering or similar
- Previous experience of automated manufacturing environments.
- Experience of programming, fault finding and repair of Servo or inverter driven systems.
- Practical knowledge of CI tools and techniques.
- A working understanding of Mechanical, Electrical and Electronic technical manuals & drawings
