Position: Senior Support Worker / Team Leader
Location: Malvern, Worcestershire
Salary: £12.35 - £13.30 per hour depending on experience. Bank holidays £17.02- £18.45 per hour + holiday top - up payments made for regular overtime (T's & C's)
Hours: 8am – 8pm. Working alternate weekends is essential

The role:
As a Senior Support Worker / Team Leader you will be working within a residential home for adults who have learning disabilities and complex needs, including behaviours that may challenge, autism and other associated issues. The main home has accommodation for up to 6 people.
Key responsibilities will include:
Running shifts according to standards and legislationDeveloping care plans outlining what care and support individuals needInducting and mentoring new staffConducting SupervisionsSocialising with residents and creating fun and engaging activities and home eventsCooking and support in the kitchen during meal times including a free meal for youAssisting with fantastic days out with residentsAssisting with personal care with residents when requiredComplete relevant documentation for the residents you supportUndertake cleaning duties in accordance with the home’s standards and expectationsAdminister medication to service usersAttending meetings and undertaking training as required

Essential skills & requirements for this role include:
NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health and Social CareNVQ/QCF level 3 in Health and Social Care to be achieved,demonstrable understanding of the legislative requirements around care of vulnerable people,MCA and DOLS understanding of the requirementsstrong numeracy, literacy and computer skills,broad knowledge of Learning Disabilities and other related conditionsparticipating in on call essentialLiving within a 20 mile radius of Malvern is essential
A valid driving licence with access to a vehicle is highly desirable for this role.
