Position: Community Engagement Manager
Location: Scotland / Remote

Profile:
A Community Engagement Manager is required to support and collaborate with our customer and their partners in the Scottish Highlands to deliver Corporate Social Value Initiatives which underpin the current transmission investment.
This role is a remote working from home which includes frequent travel around the Highlands & Islands region of Scotland. A fantastic opportunity to play a significant role in helping us to deliver real local value as we work together with our client, building a sustainable, efficient and reliable energy network for the future of the UK.
In this role you will be a local representative, supporting our customer to develop and execute the social value initiatives in close collaboration with other partners to deliver the greatest community benefit. Ensure all initiatives are aligned with the vision and values of the business, a close collaboration with internal stakeholders and understand the business strategy.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Support and collaborate with customer to develop and execute the social value initiatives which can include local community meetings, local charity events, local supplier related events, kids and/or youth related activities, collaboration with Schools, Colleges, Universities etc.Ensure alignment with Hitachi Energy's vision, mission, and other strategic initiativesSet up a governance and structure around the social value workCommunication internally and externallyStakeholder managementIdeal Background:Excellent communication skillsFlexible, amicable, and community-oriented approachAbility to work independently as well as in a teamLocal knowledge, proven track record on social responsibility activities in Scottish Highlands and IslandsAble to travel on frequent basis within Scottland to engage with project, customer, and partners, holding a clean driving licenceRelevant experience in bringing social value to the Scottish Highlands and Islands
