The role
A position has become available for a Diagnostic Radiographer to join our Medical Imaging team at the University of Exeter. This post may interest radiographers from a wide range of backgrounds. The responsibilities will include teaching modules on the undergraduate Diagnostic Radiography programmes and/or MSc programmes. This role involves lecturing, developing and running laboratory practical sessions, providing pastoral care and tutorial support to undergraduate and postgraduate students and undertaking academic administrative duties as required.
Medical Imaging programmes at the University of Exeter include the high-ranking BSc (Hons) Medical Imaging (Diagnostic Radiography) programme, the first degree apprenticeship in diagnostic radiography in England, MSc programmes and PhD studentships. There are excellent research facilities and a state of the art 3T MRI scanner and PET/CT scanner within the Mireille Gillings Neuroimaging Centre. The University of Exeter also has digital x-ray, ultrasound and DXA based at the St Luke’s campus. There is a supportive team working environment and development opportunities will be offered to assist the successful candidates in their role.
About you
For a Senior Lecturer post you will:
- Possess a depth or breadth of specialist knowledge demonstrated by a PhD or equivalent in Medical Imaging or an advanced or consultant practitioner role and qualifications, of the core knowledge relating to academic area in order to teach and support learning on academic area modules.
- HCPC registered radiographer or equivalent for overseas candidates
- Have a consistent track record of excellent teaching across a variety of modules and levels within your discipline as might be expected of a very experienced HE Teacher.
- Be expected to work towards Principle Fellow of the HEA and to attend formal CPD relating to this.

The starting salary will be from £49,794 to £64,914 on Grade G, depending on qualifications and experience.
