About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Radiographic Assistant to join our Medical Imaging Department at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting our Radiographers and Radiologists to deliver exceptional patient-centered care across our two hospitals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Radiographers and Radiologists in delivering a broad range of imaging modalities, including Plain Film X-Ray, Interventional Radiology, CT, MRI, and Ultrasound.
- Work collaboratively with the Medical Imaging team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient department operations.
- Develop and maintain a high level of clinical knowledge and skills to provide expert support to patients and staff.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and department performance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a radiography or medical imaging role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, to meet the needs of the department.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning to stay up-to-date with the latest clinical practices and technologies.
