The School of Veterinary Medicine are recruiting for a Veterinary (Clinical) Coaching and Mentoring Lead to lead the Coaching and Mentoring Team which provides unique support for BVMS Students, staff, in-practice educators and the wider School Student body. The team not only provide coaching and support activities for students around the three key principles of Professional Development, Academic Development and Clinical Practice, but also lead the design and delivery of the How to Thrive theme that is delivered as part of the BVMS course.
You will work alongside the School Placements Lead to ensure that all students receive coaching support and visits during their veterinary placements, whilst also ensuring that placement partners (veterinary practices) and in-practice educators receive appropriate support and development. They will also provide staff coaching and facilitate feedback and development sessions to drive staff engagement of help optimise the School performance.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience of coaching and mentoring, experience in implementing a coaching/mentoring programme in an organisational setting and ILM Level 5 Coaching & Mentoring Qualification, or equivalent.
This is a fixed term contract for 12 months or until the substantive postholder returns, to cover family leave. This is a full-time position but we would consider part-time hours for suitable applicants.
