Senior Pursuits Executive

We're looking for a Senior Pursuits Executive or Pursuits Executive to join our team at Burges Salmon during an exciting period of growth in our Marketing team. In this role, you will be an integral part of the Pursuits team, aligned to tenders allocated to the Business Development team, as sole support, or in tandem with a Business Development lead. Your role will be a varied mix of bid project management and Pursuits bid lead, using the bid project management toolkit and bid content repository. If you are an efficient and effective self-starter with natural business development nous and great communication skills, this role could be for you
What you'll be doing:
Working closely with the Senior Pursuits Manager on instilling and embedding best practice processes. Supporting strategic opportunities with best practice project management, establishing the pursuit process and keeping timelines under constant review, driving forward key actions. Supporting procurement-driven tenders, particularly in the Public Sector via online portals. Having sole responsibility for accuracy of submissions according to precise procurement parameters. Chairing milestone meetings from kick-off to submission review, presentation preparation and debrief. Anticipating potential red flags and challenges, working to resolve these prior to impacting milestones and project management plan. Awareness of pursuit budget and costs, proactively bringing in relevant specialists as needed. Drafting, editing and reviewing proposal documents – both in terms of content, messaging and brand alignment. Planning for pitch presentations including coaching and rehearsing legal teams. Support on carrying out pitch feedback (internally and externally). Taking responsibility for the collation, completeness and integrity of data held in opportunity database Supporting the Senior Pursuits Manager to deliver strategic improvements and increased efficiency to the full pursuit process. Creating and owning pursuit plans, including competitor analysis, points of engagement, stakeholder analysis.What we're looking for:
Excellent influencing, strong verbal and written communication and facilitation skills, instilling confidence and trust. Agility and flexibility of support, to suit differing styles of multiple senior stakeholders. Pro-active and able to prioritise effectively. Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities. Flexible with excellent time management skills. Resilient and able to work through challenges and set-backs. Experience in a proposals or business development role in a professional services environment or other similar blue chip organisation is an advantage.About Burges Salmon
