About the Team
The 17th Century Market Hall stands in the heart of our historic town, the museum tells the story of Warwickshire, and how the shifting natural, built, and human landscapes have shaped the county to the present day.
Market Hall Shop offers a unique shopping experience in Warwick. Refurbished in 2023 to complement the museum, we stock a wide range of toiletries, toys, local honey, and souvenirs, plus our Makers at Market Hall which promotes the work of Warwickshire makers and artists
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to learn about Visitor Services in Museums, whilst developing transferable customer service and retail skills.
Our friendly Visitor Services team are passionate about promoting our services, motivated to achieve income targets, and dedicated to serving our visitors and the local community.
Your role will be to welcome visitors to the museum, monitor and maintain the retail area, and provide outstanding levels of customer service to all our users. This will involve proving information on our events and activities, merchandising displays, stock monitoring and proactively selling items in our gift shop.
You will also develop marketing skills by assisting our Development Team in the promotion of our products and services.
Hours and Working Pattern
32 hours per week with two days off and 6 hours reserved for development.
