Our client, a reputable organisation located in Dundee, is seeking a skilled Management Accountant/Business Partner to join their team. With a strong focus on reporting you will play a crucial part in providing financial support and analysis to ensure effective decision-making for the organisation.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary.
- Monitor budget expenditure and provide financial advice to assist in the forecasting process.
- Provide information and support to stakeholders regarding financial performance and budgeting matters.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and efficient financial reporting processes.
- Assist with fund tracking and analysis, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Support internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to accounting policies and procedures.
- Monitor and report VAT, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial reporting processes and systems.
To excel in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience as a Management Accountant or Business Partner, with a strong understanding of financial processes and analysis.
- Sound knowledge of Sage 200
- Sound knowledge of VAT regulations and experience in managing VAT processes.
- Proven skills in fund tracking and analysis.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide insights and recommendations.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel, and experience with accounting software.
- A professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
