Key Details:
- Role: Payroll Officer - 12 month fixed term contract
- Reports to: People Services Manager
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week- working in office during training and then hybrid/ remote thereafter
- Location: St Ives
As the Payroll Officer, you ll be responsible for managing payroll processes for our client, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations You ll also play a key role in overseeing pensions and employee benefits, while supporting the Head of People Services on various exciting projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Processing payrolls accurately and on time
- Communicating with internal and external stakeholders
- Managing employee benefits such as pension schemes
- Supervising and mentoring a junior team member
- Previous experience in Payroll is a must
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs)
- Experience of using Sage
- A solid understanding of pensions, employee benefits, and payroll legislation
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- The ability to commute to our St. Ives, Cambridgeshire for the first 12 weeks before moving to a hybrid/ remote working pattern
