We are looking for a caring and compassionate individuals to join our dedicated team of Support Workers in our Support Living service in Caldicot. We have a 22 & 25 hour, part time permanent positions available (with an addition 9 hour sleep in as extra). This service needs to be staffed 24/7 so you will be required to work various shift patterns including days, evenings, weekends, and sleep in shifts as part of a rolling rota. Day shifts are typically split between 7am-10.30, (with an additional 9 hour sleep in), based on a 2 week rolling rota. Due to the needs of the individuals we support in this service the post holder for this role is required to be female. A driving licence for this role would be desirable. What is the role?  

This service provides a range of services for 4 incredible individuals with a range of learning disabilities and support needs who share a home in Caldicott. The service promotes positive well-being and building independence to allow each individual the opportunity to develop new skills. In addition you will be supporting 3 individuals who are living independently in the area who each have their own home and manage with just a little support from our team.

You will be working with these incredible individuals to enhance their various skills, providing them Supporting Individuals with their Individual needs.

Supporting with individuals’ hobbies and activities.

Encouraging and supporting with cleaning and administrative duties.

Being able to bring fresh ideas to the team and implement different ways of working.

Stock checking Individuals Medications and Finances.

Support with personal care and health

What skills and experience do you need? 

A background of working with people with physical or mental health needs is desired, but not necessary as full training and support from senior staff and management is provided.  More important are; 

A passion to work with and enable people to live as independent a life as possible 

An enthusiasm and passion for making a difference to people’s lives 

A strong initiative and ability to work alone as well as being a great team player  

What are the pay and benefits? 

An hourly rate of £12.15 making the annual salary £23,367 (FTE)  

Sleep in payment of £66.56 per night
