Visitor Engagement Coordinator
Location: Slimbridge
Salary: £24,405 per annum
Contract: Permanent

This position works 5 out of 7 days including weekends and bank holidays. There may occasionally be a requirement to work some evenings to meet the needs of the post.

About The Role

We’re seeking someone who has experience in public engagement preferably within a visitor attraction and the ability to confidently develop and deliver an engagement programme here at WWT Slimbridge.

As part of the role, you’ll be supervising and coordinating a large team of engagement volunteers. Along with staff, they help deliver engagements across the site to our visitors enhancing their visit, inspiring support for wetland conservation and creating deeper connections to nature.

Working with the Visitor Experience Manager, the Visitor Engagement Coordinator will develop new activities for visitors and assist with programming and evaluation. You'll also help deliver learning opportunities to a wide range of audiences including schools, uniform groups and home educators.

About You

You’ll have experience of working in public engagement, ideally in a visitor attraction and developing new opportunities for engagement for a range of audiences. You’ll need to be a strong presenter and be confident presenting to small groups and tailoring your delivery to different audience types.
