Job title: Electronics Test Engineer

Location: Rochester (Kent)

Salary: Up to £45,000 depending on experience

What you'll be doing:

  • Implementation of Test Strategies
  • Maintenance and repair of Test Equipment
  • Training of Test Technicians
  • Generation of test programs for equipment such as AOI, Boundary Scan, Roving Probe, X-Ray, Functional Test etc.
  • Supporting Documentation
  • Technical Support to development and production programs
  • Design for Test assessments

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Knowledge of analogue and digital circuits
  • The ability to interpret circuit diagrams and to diagnose faults down to component level
  • Knowledge and understanding of modern Manufacturing Engineering practices, tools and technology gained from experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrable success in utilising Lean manufacturing tools and techniques in the context of process improvement, cost savings or waste elimination

Desirable:

  • A recognised electronics-based qualification or apprenticeship
  • Knowledge of AOI, Roving Probe, Boundary Scan and Functional ATE
  • Lean six sigma experience, green belt or black belt accreditation
  • Experience in the application of Continuous Improvement and Root Cause & Corrective Action tools and techniques such as 5Y, 8D, PDCA, FMEA, fish bone and TPM

The Manufacturing Engineering Team:

As part of the Manufacturing Engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the manufacture of current and future products across our entire product range and the full programme lifecycle. Working closely with stakeholders across Manufacturing and Engineering you will use your knowledge and experiences to support our manufacturing systems and processes during initial bid, new product introduction, production and repair to ultimately ensure product quality is met within schedule and budget targets.
